Biography

Award-winning former journalist Emma Robson has over 30 years of experience of working in media and communications and takes a keen interest in health, technology and sus-tainability issues. Through Media Wise, her own company, Emma has helped dozens of scientists, experts and executives to explain complexity with powerful concision and to deliver key messages that resonate with their target audiences.

Clients have included Akzo Nobel, Astra Zeneca, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), Philips, Unilever and the European Food Safety Agency. Trained as a journalist at Reuters news agency, Emma worked as a reporter and editor in London, Amster-dam and New York, where she specialised in water, sanitation and health as a roving feature writer for the UN Development Programme. In television, Emma worked as reporter/producer in London for the business and finance programmes of BBC and Reuters Television, as well as for Dutch public and commercial television. Earlier, Emma was correspondent in Amsterdam for Reuters and set up the first Dutch bureau for Bloomberg News. A native English speaker, Emma has near-na-tive fluency in Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish.

She holds an MA and BA in Modern Languages from Cambridge University, a Certificate in Professional Coaching from Henley Business School and a Cambridge TEFL English language teacher certificate.
