Biography
Emrah Bayraktar is a graduate of one of the most prominent schools in Turkey, Darussafaka High School, and he played in their amateur football division team for a number of years. After his graduation he was admitted to Besiktas JK youth academy and he played there between 1994 and 1996. Along with his youth team career he also completed his undergraduate studies at Marmara University in Istanbul majoring in sports sciences. Upon completion of his studies in Istanbul he was admitted to Vienna University for further studies in sport science.
In 2003 he became one of the coaches at the Galatasaray SK youth academy. He was also appointed as the assistant manager to Eric Gerets who at the time was the manager of the Galatasaray SK professional team. Mr Bayraktar held this post until 2006. Between 2006 and 2008 he was the assistant manager for Gaziantep Buyuksehir Belediyespor and Orduspor. He was the manager of Siirtspor in 2009 season.
Between 2006 and 2009 he also focused on attending UEFA programs and getting accredited. He obtained UEFA B-A and PRO License certificates. And he was then chosen by the UEFA to be one of the few people to become a tutor for the organization. He was certified and appointed by UEFA as a coaching educator and tutor. His talent was recognized by the Turkish Football Federation and in 2009 he was appointed as the UEFA coaching education director, and youth development program director of the federation.
In 2011 he was appointed as the youth academy director of Besiktas JK and he kept his post until 2016. He spent the 2017-2018 season as the youth academy director, but this time at Galatasaray SK. He is recently appointed as Football Director of Adanaspor AŞ.
Emrah Bayraktar is a married family man and he has two kids.
